Early arrivals and late departures cannot be accommodated on the island of Formica; however, there are many areas for sight seeing and touring before and after the program.
History buff or sun worshiper, Sicily has it all! If you have some time, visit Sicily and its surrounding areas, an island unique with art, archeology, history, folklore and breathtaking scenery. Visit the other Egadi islands, which are within a half hour ride from Trapani via hydrofoil.


Take a day trip to Erice, with its delightful medieval ambience and splendid location. Check out the Greek temple of Agrigente or Catania’s Ursino. Or, if you have a little more time, visit Lipari, sometimes called the Aeolian islands, off the coast of Palermo. These island are rich with beautiful scenery, volcanoes, castles, thermal resorts, water sports, good fishing and, of course, some great beaches.

There are a few other points to keep in mind. Italians don't usually wear running or exercise shoes (sneakers) outside the gym; American visitors to Italy are invariably identifiable by the large white sneakers they wear.
